The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District reopened its classrooms Wednesday to welcome students back to school.

Students who were arriving at Fairfield High School walked up to the sounds of construction for a new performing arts center on campus.

According to district officials, the new center is meant for the entire community to enjoy.
