Three Fairfield-Suisun School District employees have been nominated for the 2022-23 National LifeChanger of the Year award.

The nominees are Tolenas Academy of Music and Media teacher Erica Nurse, Dan O. Root Health and Wellness Academy teacher Toni Lucas and Rodriguez High School student service secretary Sara Hernandez.

Nurse was nominated by an anonymous colleague “for her research and teaching using the Kodaly methodology, which emphasizes the importance of heritage, culture and other genres in music education.”
