FAIRFIELD — Hosea Barfield stood with his friends smiling ear to ear as he displayed his Police Activities League sash.
The high school senior didn’t think he’d make it through high school. Most of his peers didn’t, he said. Barfield and 28 of his peers, on the cusp of graduation, were honored Monday for how far they have come and how far the community thinks they’ll go.
