Soon, some Vallejo parents who want to pick up some fresh produce will be able to do at the same time they pick their kids up from school.
The Vallejo City Unified School District board of trustees Wednesday approved an agreement with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano to distribute fresh produce at three schools.
The food bank will make the produce available at Solano Middle School, Vallejo High School and Peoples High School, district spokeswoman Alana Shackelford said.
