Daily Republic: Corey Rosario – Vacaville High School Class of 2013

VACAVILLE — When doctors told Corey Rosario that he was going to have to relearn basic skills, such as walking, after brain surgery, the Vacaville High School senior was determined, not just to walk again, but to run.

Rosario’s entire goal was to push himself back to the normal life he had before surgery for a brain tumor, and that included getting back into track.

“The first time I succeeded in running a lap, it felt like I had run three miles,” Rosario said. “The track coach told me to take it easy, to build up my endurance.”
