Vanden High School’s student body is probably the most unique among the different Fairfield campuses, hailing from both Fairfield and Vacaville, among other locales, and some having a parent or parents who serve at Travis Air Force Base.
Perhaps because of that, Vanden traditionally hosts a special graduation ceremony, as it did once again Friday at George A. Gammon Field. Parents lined the center of the football field as the procession of graduates marched through, the way the varsity football team bursts onto the field through of tunnel of cheerleaders.
