FAIRFIELD — A longtime Fairfield High School art teacher who has taught everything art except ceramics was honored Thursday as Teacher of the Year.
Michelle Daugherty wiped her eyes with tissues as she accepted the award at a packed Fairfield-Suisun School District governing board meeting. She was selected among school site teachers of the year who were also recognized.
