David Weir Elementary School in Fairfield has received an education grant as part of the KNBR Step Up to the Plate for Education grants program. With the $5,000 offered, the school wants to fund a student field trip to OSU and USC.

The education grants program, funded by Wells Fargo, presented checks to 29 Bay Area schools on Friday, who received a total of $100,000 to support their sports, musical, art and education programs.
